Powerfix Gadget Repair Station Refund & Downpayment Policy

At Powerfix Gadget Repair Station, we are committed to providing exceptional repair services. Our refund policy ensures customer satisfaction by addressing specific scenarios where a refund or re-service may be necessary.

1. Refund Policy

Refund Eligibility

A refund or re-service is only applicable under the following conditions:

Defective Repairs: If your gadget experiences the same issue within the warranty period, we will provide a free re-service. If the issue persists after re-service, a partial refund may be considered.
Unsatisfactory Service: If you are dissatisfied with the quality of our repair service, you may request a refund, subject to assessment. See the steps below.
Unsuccessful Repairs: If a device cannot be fully repaired after multiple attempts, a partial refund or store credit may be considered at our discretion, deducting applicable labor and parts costs.

Unsatisfactory Service - Refund Request Process

If you are not satisfied with our service, follow these steps:

Contact Us Promptly: Notify us within 14 days of receiving your repaired gadget. Provide your repair order number and a detailed explanation of the issue.
Provide Evidence: Submit supporting proof (e.g., photos, videos, or written descriptions) showing why you are unsatisfied.
Assessment: Our team will review your claim and may request additional details or schedule an inspection of the device. To process a refund request, we need to physically check the gadget to confirm the reported issue.
Resolution Options: If your claim is validated:

Re-Service at No Additional Cost: We will repair the gadget again for free if the issue falls under our warranty.
Partial Refund: If a refund is approved, a service charge will be deducted from the refund amount:
10% deduction for minor repairs.
20% deduction for complex repairs involving special-order parts or extensive labor.
Important Note: If a new issue is discovered during the re-service, additional charges will apply for the new problem.

Important Considerations

Effort & Labor Cost: Our technicians put in time and effort to diagnose and repair each device. Refunds are only considered if the complaint is valid and verified.
Device Inspection Requirement: We must check the device to verify the reported issue before approving any refund. Claims without the gadget being presented for inspection will not be eligible.
Claims beyond 14 days from the repair date will not be eligible for a refund based on dissatisfaction.
Refunds will not be issued if the device shows signs of tampering or damage from a third party after our repair.
General Dissatisfaction: If the repair was properly completed but does not meet personal expectations or preferences, no refund will be issued.
External Factors: Powerfix is not responsible for issues caused by software updates, manufacturer defects, or third-party interventions after repair.
Data Responsibility: Customers should back up their data before bringing in their devices. Powerfix is not liable for any data loss during the repair process.

2. Warranty Period

Our standard warranty period varies depending on the type of repair:

Screen/LCD replacement: 7 days (for factory defect)
Battery replacements: 30 days (for factory defect)
Other component repairs: Warranty will be discussed by the attending technician based on the specific repair service
Reglass: No Warranty

Please note: The warranty applies only to factory defects. If the damage is caused by external factors or misuse, it will not be covered under warranty.

For specific warranty details, refer to your repair receipt or contact us.

3. Non-Refundable Items

The following items and charges are not eligible for refunds:

Downpayment: Any down payment made during the service request process is strictly non-refundable due to costs incurred for scheduling, service preparation, and parts procurement.
Items Outside Warranty Period: Repairs requested beyond the warranty period will not be eligible for refunds.

4. Refund Process

To initiate a refund:

Contact Us: Reach out to our customer support team within the warranty period with your repair order number and details of the issue.
Device Inspection: You must bring or send the gadget back to us so we can physically check the reported problem.
Assessment: Our team will evaluate your claim and may request additional information.
Refund Processing: If approved, refunds will be processed through the original payment method within 5-10 business days. A 10% to 20% service charge will be deducted from all approved refunds:

10% for minor repairs
20% for complex repairs involving special-order parts or extensive labor

5. Customer Responsibilities

To qualify for a refund, customers must:

Provide a valid proof of purchase or repair order.
Ensure the device has not been tampered with or damaged by a third party after the repair.
Return the device for inspection to validate the complaint.
Back up personal data before submitting the device for repair, as Powerfix is not responsible for data loss.

6. Return Shipping

For refund cases requiring the return of the device, the customer is responsible for shipping costs, unless the issue is due to our error.

7. Disputed Refund Cases

If a customer disagrees with our assessment and insists on a refund, they may submit an appeal to our management team for further review. All decisions made after the appeal will be final.

8. Policy Modifications

Powerfix Gadget Repair Station reserves the right to revise this refund policy at any time. Any updates will be posted on our website.

Down Payment Policy

Down Payment Policy & Service Charge Notice

Down Payment is NON-REFUNDABLE if you decide to back out from the scheduled appointment. However, you may reschedule your appointment.
If your device has other issues beyond the initial concern and you choose not to proceed with the repair, a service charge will apply, ranging from 10-20% of the diagnostic fee.

This policy is in place because PowerFix incurs costs related to:

Scheduling and preparation of the service
Shipment of necessary parts
Reserved time slots that could have been allocated to other customers

The service charge reflects the risk, time, and effort required to accurately diagnose the real issue of your device.

Thank you for your understanding!
